NEW STUDY REVEALS HIGHER RATE OF SUICIDE IN THE REGIONS
New data has revealed, rural residents are at a much higher risk of taking their own life, than those in the cities.
A report released by University of Newcastle researchers reveals a person’s chance of seeking help decreases, the more remotely they live.
The statistics show the suicide rate in rural areas is 11 per cent higher than the national average.
Manual labourers have been shown as a high risk group, as well as youth.
