QUEENSLAND CLOSES BORDER TO NSW AS COVID-19 CASES RISE

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed the state will close its border to New South Wales from 1am tomorrow due to COVID-19.
It comes as NSW recorded another 124 cases overnight – 48 of those were infectious in the community
Exemptions will be permitted for some residents near the border.
NRL matches will now run at a reduced capacity at Queensland football stadiums.
