EYES TO THE SKY: RAAF UNDERTAKES AIR TRAINING IN TAMWORTH

Tamworth residents – keep your eyes on the skies.

The Royal Australian Air Force is conducting training out of the city’s airport, until Thursday.

Residents will be treated to roaring flyovers during the evenings, when up to six jets will depart for Williamtown.

The diversion training is an essential part of Air Force preparation, with cadets taught high-speed manoeuvres.

And, for aircraft enthusiasts – the jets being used are F-35-A Lightning’s.
