URALLA’S HISTORIC COURTHOUSE TO UNDERGO REVAMP
Uralla’s 19th Century courthouse is set for a makeover.
Council says the neglected site will be re-purposed for public use, thanks to a grant of more than $900,000.
While the exact plans haven’t been confirmed, the state government cash could be used for new office spaces or to transform it into a tourist attraction.
Works will include weatherproofing, repainting and removing asbestos.
The courthouse hasn’t been used, in 35 years.
