TWO ARRESTED ON CENTRAL COAST OVER A SYDNEY SHOOTING
A man and woman have been arrested on the Central Coast today as part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting in Sydney’s east.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Marine Parade, Maroubra, about 9.15pm on Sunday after reports a man had been shot in the leg.
Paramedics treated a 37-year-old man before he was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist forensic police, and detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, officers from the Tactical Operations Unit arrested two people during a vehicle stop on the Central Coast Highway, Kariong, just before 1.30pm today.
A man and woman – aged 27 and 28 – were taken to Gosford Police Station.
Inquiries are continuing.
