NORTH-WEST SCHOOLS TO RETURN TO TERM THREE AS NORMAL, NEXT WEEK

Students in the North West will return to school for Term 3 as normal next week, despite Covid restrictions being extended across the state.

Some restrictions, including having no parents onsite and limiting band and choir activities, will be reinforced.

Students and staff are also advised to wear masks while inside the classroom.

Education Minister, Sarah Mitchell, says the restrictions are simple ways of keeping people safe.

“We are just asking our schools to be sensible, these are restrictions that parents are used to, we’ve managed it last year when we’ve had to, it’s all about keeping our schools and our students safe. I’m just excited that our kids can be back in the classroom next week.”
