It’s Donate Life Week and Tamworth’s nurses are encouraging the community to find out why they should become an organ and tissue donor.
“If someone’s on the dialysis waiting list and they’re in dialysis for three days a week, your gift can then take them off that so they can live a full and happy life.”
10 years ago double lung recipient Melissa Graham experienced just how vital a donation can be.
“I had about three or four months to go before I’d you know evidently not be here so it’s allowed me to do a lot of things.”
