A young surfer is being treated for a serious arm injury after being attacked by a shark on the Mid North Coast this afternoon.
It was around 4:30pm when it’s believed the man, in his 20s, was bitten by a shark while surfing at Crescent Head.
He was helped out of the water before being treated by paramedics and later flown to John Hunter Hospital.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District will liaise with the Department of Primary Industry to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
