BUSHFIRE SAFETY PATROLS: HELICOPTER BUZZING ABOVE YOUR TOWN OR SUBURB

If you notice a low-flying helicopter in your neighbourhood over the next week, it’ll likely be Transgrid, carrying out bushfire safety inspections of its power lines and transmission towers.

From Muswellbrook to Newcastle, the patrols aim to identify any potential risks, including fraying lines and trees growing too close to infrastructure.

The patrols will run from tomorrow, into early next week.
