QUARANTINE COSTS SLASHED FOR OVERSEAS WORKERS

Foreign workers entering the country under the Pacific Labour Scheme or Seasonal Worker Program, are now eligible for a 50 per cent subsidy of quarantine costs.

The subsidy covers workers coming into Australia in the new financial year, who will work in New South Wales.

It’s expected to help farmers doing it tough during the pandemic – by dropping the cost from $3,000 to $1,500.
