TAMWORTH MAN ACCUSED OF POSSESSING $850 WORTH OF COUNTERFEIT CASH
A Tamworth man is tonight behind bars – accused of possessing $850 worth of counterfeit cash.
It’s alleged the 56-year-old attempted to use a fake $50 note at a supermarket on Robert Street before 10am today.
Police searched the man nearby, before charging him with two offences.
He’ll face Tamworth Local Court on June 8.
Shop keepers are urged to keep an eye out for fake $50 notes, which may have been handed over in recent days.
