MARINE RESCUE CONDUCTS ‘SEARCH AND RESCUE’ EXERCISE OFF YAMBA

There was commotion off the coast of Yamba today, with Marine Rescue conducting a large-scale search and rescue training exercise.

The multi-agency activity involved the Westpac Rescue chopper, New South Wales Police, Surf Life Saving and Maritime authorities.

Almost 60 Marine Rescue volunteers from the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast are taking part in the exercise.

It continues tomorrow.
