ULMARRA LEVEE TO BE REPAIRED

The Clarence Valley Council has gained state and federal government funding to repair the Ulmarra Levee Bank, which was damaged in last year’s floods.

$300,000 has been made available under Natural Disaster Declarations which have been made for the northern rivers and mid north coast regions.

Thousands of people were evacuated from riverside towns on the north coast, which experienced widespread flooding.

The grant money will be used to fund a geotechnical survey and repair works to the damaged levee.
