TAMWORTH STUDENTS JOIN NATIONAL CALLS FOR CLIMATE ACTION

In Tamworth, school students joined today’s calls for climate action – marching from Bicentennial Park to local MP Kevin Anderson’s office.

Armed with signs, the kids showed a keen interest in opposing gas projects and protecting the environment.

Local sisters, Davina and Chiara Leabon, were leading the charge.

“I’m here because the government isn’t doing enough meaningful action and this is our chance to have a voice and tell the government what we think… what they must do… Because their actions are meaningful.”
