MAN STABBED AT EDGEWORTH

Police are investigating how a man was stabbed, after presenting himself to the John Hunter Hospital overnight.

The 30-year-old from Edgeworth suffered several stab wounds to his arms and buttocks, but his injuries were not considered life threatening.

Emergency services were called to a home on Renfrew Crescent just after midnight, but on arrival were notified the man had already taken himself to hospital.

A crime scene was set up.

Police have been told the man was confronted by three people at the home.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the nearby area between 11.30pm on Tuesday and 12.30am today, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact Belmont Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
