NSW FARMERS ENCOURAGES AUSTRALIANS TO PICK UP FARM WORK

The New South Wales Farmers Association is encouraging more Australians to try their hand at farm work.

The push comes after the State Government recently introduced relocation incentives for domestic workers.

Under the new ‘AgMove’ initiative, Australians can be eligible for up to $2,000 in relocation assistance, after completing just 40 hours of work.

If they continue on, they can be reimbursed up to $6,000 after 120 hours of labour.

It comes as primary industries continue to face a severe workforce shortage due to international border closures.
