THOUSANDS DONATED TO LIFELINE FOR NEWY 100 EVENT

Hunter Water has donated $10,000 to Hunter Lifeline services, as part of the ‘Newy 100’ event this weekend.
Eight Hunter Water employees will walk or run in the challenging 100-kilometre charity event, which includes a loop around Newcastle’s beaches, the foreshore and Honeysuckle areas on Saturday and Sunday.
Hunter Water’s Managing Director, Darren Cleary, said the organisation was proud to help suicide prevention and crisis support.
“After the difficulties of the last 12 months, mental and physical wellbeing is as important as ever, so we’re delighted to be a community partner of the 2021 Newy 100,” he said.
Every dollar raised by Hunter Water, or other people and organisations, will go directly to supporting local services, including face-to-face counselling, video health services and bereavement support.
If you or someone you know needs help, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
