EXTRA DOCTOR FOR ABERDEEN
The town of Aberdeen will have an extra doctor, thanks to a remote specialist GP training program.
Dr Abdullah Haddid is among 32 doctors taking part in the Remote Vocational Training Scheme this year, which is funded by the federal government.
He’ll be training while also working at the Aberdeen Surgery.
Dr Haddid says he moved to Aberdeen with his young family and he’s “loving the community and my work.”
It comes amid calls for more to be done about a critical shortage of GPs in rural and regional communities across New South Wales.
