TAMWORTH STUDENTS CREATE FLORAL WREATHS AS PART OF FIRST TIME COURSE

A handful of Tamworth school students have been honing their floristry skills ahead of Anzac Day.

Training Services New South Wales has teamed up with Tamworth florist, Designer Bunches, to deliver a unique floristry course.

The students from Oxley High, Calrossy Anglican and Peel High schools have been learning how to create the perfect floral wreath – just in time for the weekend’s commemorations.

“I saw the email and was like, “oh my god!” It’s the first time ever for floristry, so it’s a really good experience.”

The colourful wreaths will be donated to Tamworth’s Anzac Day dawn service on Sunday.
