MAN INTERUPTED AT WORK WITH NEWS FROM WIFE OF A $100,000 LOTTERY WIN
A Valentine woman has interrupted her husband’s work day with an unexpected surprise: winning $100,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.
The sum was won last Thursday, but it took time for officials to get in touch with the woman because her contact details on her Players Club card were out of date.
The Newcastle woman said she was filled with joy after making her exciting discovery.
“I don’t know how to describe how I am feeling right now,” she said.
“I just can’t believe it!
“I was going to the newsagency to buy some scratchies, and I remembered I had a ticket to check.
“The gentleman at the counter told me I had won something, but he couldn’t see what it was, so once I got back to my car, I checked on The Lott app.
“I didn’t believe it! I still can’t believe it now!
“It’s crazy! Oh my god!
“I am going to go straight to my husband’s work and break the news to him and tell him we need to celebrate immediately.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, the laughing woman said her mind was running wild with ideas.
“Well, I would love to do some travelling throughout Australia! I’ve been wanting to go to Cairns, so I think we will do that first,” she expressed.
“I also want to get myself a new car and I am in desperate need of some new clothes and shoes, so a shopping spree is certainly on the cards.”
The winning entry was purchased at Valentine Newsagency, 10 Allambee Place, Valentine.
The Valentine Newsagency team are thrilled the winner has now claimed their prize and wish her all the very best.
