YOUNG BOY AIRLIFTED AFTER FALL ON ROCKS

A young boy has been flown to hospital after falling on rocks at Avoca Beach.

Lifeguards say he was knocked over by waves at around 3pm yesterday, before emergency crews attended the scene.

The child – believed to be aged between 10 and 12 – was assessed for neck and spinal pain.

He was then airlifted to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
