The Upper Hunter should be getting a larger slice of coal mining royalties, according to the Greens.
Today they called for millions to be reinvested in the region’s transition from coal, and to repair the local environment, as part of a 10 year commitment.
Upper Hunter candidate Sue Abbott says there’s been much wealth stripped out and exported from the community, arguing it’s time that wealth helped reshape the region’s future.
