A man will face court today charged over an alleged domestic dispute earlier this year that nearly turned deadly.
At about 9pm on February 7, emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a Hare Krishna property on Tyalgum Road, Eungella.
Upon arrival, officers located a 46-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man with stab wounds.
Both were airlifted in a serious condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.
The woman has since been released from hospital and is receiving ongoing treatment.
The 24-year-old was later transferred to Tweed Heads Hospital under police guard before being released and arrested by detectives.
He was taken to Tweed Heads Police Station and charged with attempted murder, intentionally choke person without consent (DV) and wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV).
He’ll appear at Tweed Heads Local Court today.
