ARMIDALE COUNCIL DONATES HAY BALES TO FLOOD AFFECTED FARMERS
It was the selfless farmers from across the country who donated dozens of hay bales to struggling, North West farmers during the big dry.
And today, Armidale Council returned the favour, sending 40 golden bales to those pummelled by the recent floods near Port Macquarie.
“We’re donating a load of hay to go to Telegraph Point down there. There’s some people down there who are in need of a bit of tucker because they’ve lost all of their fodder,” says Jonathon Gallatley.
The goodwill gesture was conjured by councillor Jonathon Gallatley and transporter, Peter Kratz – who was quick to donate his time to the cause.
