CASINO GREYHOUND TRACK RECORDS SECOND DEATH THIS YEAR

The Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds is shining a spotlight on the Far North Coast, after ‘Slim Pickings’ died while racing at the Casino track on Monday.

The dog was euthanised after suffering a fractured ankle in race nine.

The track’s president maintains greyhound safety is the club’s number one priority.

It’s the third greyhound death in the region so far this year.

Last year, a total of six dogs died across the Lismore, Casino and Grafton tracks.
