CWA PREPARES TASTY RETURN TO SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW

Country Women’s Association members are busily preparing for this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show.

The event, which is the organisation’s biggest fundraiser, was cancelled last year – seeing the CWA miss out on $150,000.

Baking is well underway, with Tamworth branches so far contributing 14 fruitcakes and several jams this year.

Come Thursday, they’ll assist other members in making their iconic scones.

“This year, the number’s are cut right back. But, you know, anything is better than nothing, so we’re just going to go ahead with it and do the best we can.”

The CWA and their tasty treats can be found at the Sydney Royal Easter Show ‘Tea Room’ from Thursday.
