Investigations are underway after a woman was assaulted on Wood Street in Newcastle West early this morning.
A man described as being in his early 20s approached the 22-year-old female as she exited a Hunter Street hotel.
He then followed her, before assaulting her.
Detectives are urging anyone with information around the incident or who saw the man around 1am this morning, to come forward.
