NORTH WEST LLS WARNS OF LOCUST OUTBREAK

Local Land Services is asking north-west property owners to keep an eye out for locusts.
A number of swarms have been detected in the region, prompting concern for autumn crops.
Landholders can help minimise the spread of the pest by monitoring egg beds, which look like small holes in the soil.
Residents can report their sightings and also attend Local Land Services control programs.
