LLS FEES WAIVED FOR FARMERS FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Local Land Services rates will be waived for New England and North West farmers.

Despite a bumper season being expected this year, the state government is hoping to provide further relief after the drought.

Landholders will still receive a rates notice.

However, they will not be required to pay the usual charges for animal health and pest services, stock movement permits – and meat industry levies.

It’s the third year in a row, the rates have been wiped.
