A driver near Gunnedah had a lucky escape today, after the B-Double truck he was driving overturned, littering coal across the Kamilaori Highway.
“It appears that a coal truck has turned onto the highway here and perhaphs a little bit to fast and has tipped over.” Sergeant Graham Forbes said.
The 22-year-old driver was taken to Gunnedah hospital, suffering a suspected back injury.
The accident caused disruption for motorists, with diversions in place for a number of hours.
