WOMAN LUCKY TO ONLY BREAK HER ARM AFTER FALLING 7 METRES

A woman has somehow suffered only a broken arm, after falling seven metres from a building onto a first-floor awning in Newcastle.
First responders climbed through the window to get to the patient, before firefighters used a cherry picker to extricate her.
“She managed to dodge the signs and other aerials and things that were on the roof, not sure how it happened but the result is she is in John Hunter Hospital in a reasonably stable condition.”
The intersection of Hunter and Darby streets was closed, and a tram was stopped for an hour, during the rescue operation.
