A motorcyclist has died after a crash in the Hunter Valley this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Old New England Highway at Liddell just after 7am, following reports a motorcycle had left the road, and rolled down an embankment.
When police arrived, the rider, believed to be a man aged in his 40s, was found deceased; he is yet to be formally identified.
Police set up a crime scene, and have started inquiries into the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
