OCEAN FLOOR SURVEY BEGINS AT STOCKTON
A survey of the ocean floor has begun at Stockton to find suitable sand to replenish the town’s beaches.
A survey vessel crew will spend the next three weeks on the water, examining a 60km2 area.
Member for Newcastle Tim Crakanthorp has thanked Deputy Premier John Barilaro for working with the community to find a long-term solution for the erosion crisis.
“This is more great news for the Stockton community as we continue the important work to find the best suitable sand to restore the beach.”
