MAN HIT WITH A GUITAR AND HELD AT KNIFEPOINT DURING A VIOLENT ROBBERY
A man has been assaulted and held up at knifepoint during an aggravated robbery in Tamworth on Saturday night.
The 33-year-old was at home on Robert Street when three males forced entry and confronted him, before hitting him with a ‘wooden guitar’.
One of the men then held him to a knife whilst the other two ransacked his home, stealing keys and a wallet.
They fled the scene and were last seen running west along Robert Street.
Police attended the home and the man was taken to hospital with multiple facial injuries.
An investigation is now underway.
The three males are described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, between 15 to 20 years old, with their faces covered.
Two of the men were last seen wearing black or dark-coloured clothing, and the third an orange-coloured jacket or jumper.
