LIGHTS, MICS AND AMY VEE – READY TO HIT THE STAGE

The theatre lights are flicking and the roadies have instruments blasting – Newcastle live gigs and events are back, with audiences more excited to support local artists than ever before.

This time last year, the final scoop of performances were being staged throughout the city, before the pandemic took its toll.

But 12 months on, the entertainment scene is buzzing once again.

It’s a particularly exciting time for local singers like Amy Vee, who starred in Chess the Musical this weekend, just two weeks after her sold out concert at Lizottes.

Ms Vee and the cast of Chess were thrilled to be back performing on the Civic Stage, to a sold out theatre last night, after the production was postponed last year.

The local artist has been so humbled by the community’s support to see live music.

She announced this week, she will be performing her sold-out show “Glory Box” once again on July 16th.

For eager locals wanting to see a show, Newcastle LIVE have created a calendar with dates for all local performances.
