NSW GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES IMPROVED ACCESS TO TAMWORTH’S VICTORIA PARK

Tamworth’s Victoria Park Precinct, will soon be more accessible for people with a disability, and parents with prams.

The state government will invest more than $200,000 on a footpath upgrade – extending its reach to Oxley High School.

Meanwhile, a master plan for the precinct is now open for feedback.

It will determine how to draw more people to attractions such as the city’s Marsupial Park, Botanical Gardens and Miniature Railway.

“This is becoming a real destination hub and, what we want to do as a government, is provide the transport links to get people here.”

Consultation closes March 11.
