A 36-year-old man is recovering in Tamworth hospital after a stabbing this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Robert Street and Hillvue Road at South Tamworth around 3pm.
New South Wales Ambulance say the man was taken for treatment for a stab wound to his lower back.
