ARMED ROBBER ON THE RUN CAUGHT IN QLD

An armed robber, who escaped from his parole half-way house near Newcastle last December, has been arrested in Queensland.
The 40-year-old man cut off his ankle tracking device and police feared he was on his way to Western Australia to pursue a vendetta against police.
His brother, Troy Matthew Herbert, was killed in a motorcycle accident while trying to outrun police officers in Perth in 2009.
Yesterday Herbert was taken into custody in Queensland but it hasn’t been decided if he will be extradited.
