YOUNG REFEREES SIT FINAL COURSE TO WORK THIS FOOTBALL SEASON

As the football season approaches on the Far North Coast, referees new and experienced are brushing up on their skills.
A training clinic was held in Lismore today, with 24 future referees sitting the level 4 course.
“This course that’s being held today, every referee in Australia has done this course, so when you see an A-league referee on TV, they’ve started out doing this exact same course… Often players make the best referees and certainly, they tell us that on weekends,” Match Officials Coordinator, Luke Mackney, said.
The next training day will be held in Ballina on March 20, with Football Far North Coast still taking registrations.
