CALLS TO URGENTLY IMPROVE HOSPITAL SECURITY

There are calls for the state government to act on the findings of a report into hospital security.

Among the recommendations – that Hunter New England Health take a local approach to the issue.

Response from Hunter New England Local Health District:

Hunter New England Local Health District is reviewing the recommendations in the Anderson report into security at NSW hospitals.

We were pleased to be given the opportunity to participate in the process, and we thank our staff for their input and involvement during site visits by Mr Anderson. We look forward to working with the NSW Ministry of Health on implementing supported recommendations across hospitals in our District.
