Local business, Lahey Constructions has been chosen to build the West Woolgoolga Sports Complex.
The facility will now use the name Wiigulga – honouring the region’s Gumbaynggirr heritage.
Staff will start work on the complex next month, to provide spaces for AFL, cricket, basketball and netball games.
Multi-purpose rooms, a cafe and entertainment space will also be on offer when construction wraps up in late 20-22.
