GREEN LIGHT FOR WAMBERAL EROSION PLAN

A solution to tackle coastal erosion at Wamberal is a step closer, with the state government giving the green light to the Gosford coastal zone management plan.
The decision means Central Coast Council can now apply for a share in more than $80-million in government funding, to implement measures from its plan.
Council says proposed designs for a permanent solution are being costed with the Office of Environment and Heritage.
