YARNS OVER BUNDLES OF YARN

The knitting needles were clicking in unison in Lake Macquarie today, as dozens of women gathered to knit and purl for the annual ‘Wrap With Love’ knit-in.

This year marks the event’s 25th anniversary.

In that time, more than half a million blankets have been knitted for those in need.

“It’s just a joy to see their faces, you know for them to smile after being just so sad and the cause is really good.”

Locally, around 2,000 blankets are created every year.
