A 16-year-old girl has fought off a middle-aged man during an indecent assault at Whitebridge.
Police say the girl got off a bus near the suburb’s shops at 9am yesterday, and began walking along Lonus Avenue when she noticed a man walking behind her.
She then turned onto Tumpoa Street where he grabbed her neck and assaulted her.
The teenager says she screamed and elbowed the man in the face and stomach, before running away.
He’s described as being chubby in appearance, and aged in his 40s.
He was wearing a black hooded jumper, dark blue jeans and black joggers.
