FLIGHT PATH SAFETY CHECKS BEING COMPLETED ON THE NORTH COAST

North Coast residents may notice low-level flying at local airports on Monday and Tuesday next week, with flight path safety checks being carried out.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority will be completing the exercise at seven airports, including Ballina, Lismore and Coffs Harbour.

The Authority says aircraft may complete an uncommon flying pattern to make sure obstacles are marked on charts and that no new obstacles exist.
