UPPER HOUSE INQUIRY REVEALS SERIOUS ISSUES WITH REGIONAL HEALTHCARE

An inquiry into regional health has revealed serious issues within the state’s healthcare system.
150 people made submissions to the Upper House inquiry, including north-west residents and healthcare professionals.
One nurse revealed she hadn’t had a formal meal break in two years, while Gunnedah Shire Council claimed the town is operating with one GP per 3,000 residents.
