MANNING RIVER AERO CLUB HOPING TO UPGRADE FACILITY NEXT MONTH
The Manning River Aero Club has welcomed $20,000 from the state government to upgrade its building.
The club’s exterior will be repainted and flashing will be replaced.
It’s also hoping to use the money to extend the clubhouse and provide training and rest areas for pilots.
Manning River Aero Club President, Mark Drury says, “The building is extensively used by NRMA, Careflight as well as ourselves, Westpac Rescue, the SES and the bushfire service and it’s regularly used especially through the summer months.”
The club says it’s been a long time coming, looking to begin construction as early as next month.
