The Evans Head community is rallying behind a 7-year-old girl who was hit by a car on the Far North Coast last weekend.
Suffering severe head injuries, Eva has been in a coma since the accident on January 3, but woke yesterday and is communicating with her family.
A GoFundMe page has attracted almost $5000 to help Eva’s family get through what will be a long road to recovery for their daughter.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
No charges have been laid.
