POLICE SEIZE COCAINE AT A HEATHERBRAE CARAVAN PARK
A man has been charged with supplying drugs, after police seized a kilogram of cocaine from a caravan park at Heatherbrae.
The 29-year-old was arrested at the park on the Pacific Highway at around 7.30pm yesterday.
Officers searched a cabin and found the drug, with an estimated street value of $450,000, as well as drug paraphernalia and mobile phones – all of which were seized for examination.
The man, from Palmview in Queensland, was taken to Raymond Terrace police station and charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug as well as possession.
He was refused bail and faced Newcastle Local Court today.
