Police have determined an alleged assault at Warners Bay in the early hours of New Year’s Day did not happen.
A man had alleged he was set upon by a group of men at Feighan Oval and that a woman walking her dog rendered assistance to the victim.
After extensive inquiries, Lake Macquarie officers have released a statement asserting that the incident didn’t occur.
They’ve further stated there is no ongoing danger to the public.
